Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions people ask most about training with Full Circle AT. Choose a question to show its answer.

How much does training cost?

It depends on who is paying and your income:

  • Agency or vocational rehabilitation: $40.00 an hour, paid by your agency.
  • Individuals with a monthly income of $2,000 or more: $17.50 an hour.
  • Community Access: free if your monthly income is under $2,000 and you don’t have an active agency case.

Not sure which applies to you? Answer two quick questions to find out.

Is training really free if my income is under $2,000 a month?

Yes. If your monthly income is under $2,000 and you don’t have an active case with a sponsoring agency, your training is 100% free. We cover the difference between our $40.00 an hour cost and the $0.00 price ourselves. Read how the sliding fee works.

I work with a vocational rehabilitation counselor. How do they refer me?

Ask your counselor to request Full Circle AT LLC as your preferred vendor. Agency-funded training is billed at the agency rate of $40.00 an hour.

We send your counselor professional case notes in the PAIP format (Purpose, Assessment, Intervention, Plan) within 48 hours of each session. If technology is needed to meet your vocational goal, we write a formal recommendation with a task analysis.

What happens in the first session?

Every training relationship starts with a one-on-one evaluation. If your agency hasn’t provided a recent assessment, we do a virtual Technology Assessment in the first session, so we understand your setup and goals and can build the right training plan.

Are sessions online or in person?

Full Circle AT works entirely online, so you can learn from home on your own devices.

Will I be in a class with other people?

No. Every session is strictly one-on-one, so you get the instructor’s full attention for your setup, your goals and the way you learn best.

What can I learn?

Training is built around what you need to do at work and in daily life. That includes screen readers and magnification, non-visual techniques, Google Workspace, Slack and other remote collaboration tools, and how to solve technology problems on your own. We use real-world practice so you can use your skills straight away.

Will my sessions be recorded?

Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance and to make sure case notes are accurate. It’s your choice: tell us your preference on the intake form. Choosing not to be recorded doesn’t affect your training.

Is there homework?

Yes. Practice between sessions is how new skills stick, so you’ll get tasks to try before your next session. If practice is hard to fit in, we’ll work with you to adjust your training plan.

How do I pay?

All payments are made electronically. If your training is free, there’s nothing to pay.

What is the Community Tip Jar?

It’s an optional way to help keep training free for the next person. If you choose to contribute, even a small amount, it goes toward the cost of training someone else. There’s never any obligation.

What is VoiceOver Audio Split?

It’s a free Mac app that puts VoiceOver’s speech in one ear and everything else in the other, and adds features inspired by JAWS, NVDA and SuperNova. Learn about VoiceOver Audio Split and download it.
